The Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, launched on Saturday, January 27, 2024, the evaluation of the roadmap for actions carried out by the provincial offices of the National Directorate for Oversight, Payroll Preparation, and Management of Teacher and Administrative Staff in Educational Institutions (DINACOPE) during the fourth quarter of last year. The venue chosen for the meeting was the village of Venus in Bibwa, in the commune of N'sele.

This meeting will take place over three days, from January 27 to 29, 2024. On this occasion, the head of the EPST reminded all participants of their responsibilities regarding the objectives to be achieved.

"As you can see, no slackness can be tolerated in the performance of your duties. This is why this roadmap evaluation workshop has been organized for you to ensure that the objectives assigned to you for the fourth quarter of 2023 are met, as the achievement of these objectives serves as an indicator of your performance," said Professor Tony Mwaba.

The minister also emphasized that during this workshop, there will also be a discussion to assess the level of ownership of all actions related to the various innovations he has implemented in the management of the teachers’ payroll system.

Professor Tony Mwaba reminded the provincial directors of DINACOPE that this workshop will enable them to set new objectives as part of a new roadmap for the period from January to July 2024.

The head of the EPST also highlighted the free public primary education introduced by the President of the Republic, a reform that has enabled more than 6 million school-age children to return to school.

"The Government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, through the Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education, has implemented a major reform: the effective implementation of free public primary education through the firm resolve of the President of the Republic, Head of State, His Excellency Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, to whom I pay my deepest respects," stated Professor Tony Mwaba.

Several officials from the ministry also took part in this groundbreaking ceremony, notably the Secretary General of the EPST, Christine Nepa Nepa Kabala, the Inspector General of the EPST, Jacques Odia Musungayi, and the National Director of DINACOPE, Papy Mangobe Moleka.
