In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the fees for taking the State Examination (Exetat) and the National Test for Academic and Vocational Selection and Guidance (TENASOSP) for the 2025–2026 academic year vary by educational province.
Set by provincial governors in accordance with current laws and regulations, these amounts take into account the economic realities and logistical constraints specific to each jurisdiction.
In the Bas-Uélé educational province, the TENASOSP fee is set at 50,000 FC, while the Exetat fee is 75,000 FC for both the special session and the regular session.
In the province of Équateur, candidates will pay 40,000 FC for the TENASOSP, 96,000 FC for the special session, and 86,000 FC for the regular session of the Exetat.
The province of Haut-Katanga charges 40,000 FC for the TENASOSP, 100,000 FC for the off-session, and 60,000 FC for the regular session.
In Haut-Lomami, fees are set at 30,000 FC for the TENASOSP, 80,000 FC for the off-session, and 55,000 FC for the regular session. Haut-Uélé has a similar fee schedule, with 35,000 FC, 60,000 FC, and 55,000 FC, respectively.
In Ituri, the fees amount to 30,000 FC for the TENASOSP, 75,000 FC for the off-session, and 50,000 FC for the regular session.
In the Kasai region, the amounts also vary. In Kasai Province, they are set at 35,000 FC for the TENASOSP, 70,000 FC for the off-session, and 55,000 FC for the regular session. In Kasaï Central, they are set at 46,000 FC, 72,000 FC, and 55,000 FC, respectively.
Kasaï Oriental stands out for its differentiated pricing based on the academic cycle. TENASOSP fees there are set at 40,000 FC. For the Exetat, the out-of-session fee is 52,000 FC for the long cycle and 40,000 FC for the short cycle, while the regular session fee is set at 42,000 FC for the long cycle and 40,000 FC for the short cycle.
It should be noted that all of these fees are official, having been duly established by the competent provincial authorities.
In accordance with the academic calendar, the TENASOSP will be held on Thursday, June 11, and Friday, June 12, 2026, throughout the entire country.
Regarding the State Exam, the off-session exams for the short cycle will begin on May 4, 2026, with the essay. The vocational practice exams will take place from May 11 to 18, 2026, prior to the regular exam session scheduled for June 22–25, 2026.
For the long cycle, the essay will mark the start of the off-session exams on May 4, 2026, followed on May 5 by the traditional exams for technical options. The oral French exams will be held from May 6 to 9, while the vocational exams will take place from May 11 to 18, 2026. The regular exam session is also scheduled for June 22–25, 2026.
As part of administrative decentralization, this differentiation in participation fees is justified by taking local socio-economic realities into account, with the aim of ensuring fairness and equal opportunities among candidates across all provinces.
