The Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, received Jean Tshisekedi, Director of the Kongo Central 2 Educational Province, in his office on Monday, November 14, 2022. The latter presented the supervisory authority with a comprehensive report on the achievements of free primary education in his educational province.
Proved Jean Tshisekedi also took advantage of this opportunity provided by the head of the EPST to highlight some significant progress he has made within his jurisdiction regarding the fight against anti-values.
Welcoming this meeting, the Proved of Kongo Central 2 promises to implement the recommendations received from the head of the EPST, Professor Tony Mwaba, within his jurisdiction.
“I had the honor of being received by His Excellency the Minister of EPST, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi. As a staunch advocate of free education, he wanted to ensure that public primary schools in my province of Kongo-Central 2 were upholding the principle of free education and that it was sustainable. He gave me guidelines and instructions to follow to safeguard free education. He said some very inspiring things, which demonstrate his firm commitment to developing our education system. I will strengthen oversight and monitoring through a commission that I will establish to continuously evaluate the implementation of free education,” he stated.
Furthermore, Proved Jean Tshisekedi invited his peers to support the actions of Minister Tony Mwaba, who, he said, aligns with the vision of the Head of State.
It is worth noting that Jean Tshisekedi Kabasele was voted the best Proved for the 2021–2022 school year following the Annual Performance Review initiated by Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi.
According to the jury, he distinguished himself in the implementation of official directives and the effectiveness of his management in the Kongo Central 2 educational province.
