The decree establishing the 2023–2024 school calendar was signed on Thursday, April 27, 2023, by the Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, in the presence of Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia Bazego and various partners from his sub-sector, including labor union representatives, civil society, the Association of Promoters of Accredited Private Schools (ASONEPA), and the National Association of Parents of Pupils and Students of the Congo (ANAPECO), who unanimously approved this academic document.

The signing of the 2023–2024 school calendar marks the culmination of the work carried out in workshops under the supervision of the General Secretariat for Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education.

This document informs us that the 2023–2024 school year will begin on Monday, September 4, 2023, throughout the entire national territory and will end on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

The National Primary School Completion Exam (ENAFEP) will be held from Monday, June 3, to Tuesday, June 4, while the National Test for Academic and Career Selection and Guidance (TENASOSP) will be held from Thursday, June 13, to Friday, June 14, 2024.

Regarding the non-session exams of the State Exam, the written exam is scheduled for June 6, 2024, the traditional vocational option exams on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, the vocational practical exam from Monday, May 13, to Saturday, May 18, 2024, the regular session from Monday, June 24, to Thursday, June 27, 2024, and the preliminary exams will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
