One year and 11 months after their appointments to what is now the Sama Lukonde 1 Government, the Head of State has just reaffirmed his confidence in Minister Tony Mwaba Kazadi and Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia Bazego of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST).
This was announced in a decree read on Friday, March 24, at midnight on Congolese National Radio and Television.
For the minister, this is a renewal of trust, and he reiterates in this regard “his ever-devoted loyalty” to President Félix Tshisekedi and Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde.
“I express my deepest gratitude and my heartfelt thanks to President Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo for his renewed confidence in my humble self. My ever-devoted loyalty. My deepest gratitude to Prime Minister Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde,” Professor Tony Mwaba reacted on Twitter.
Similar sentiments were expressed by Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia, who sees this as President Félix Tshisekedi’s renewed confidence in the youth of his country.
“Renewed trust—once again, he places youth at the center of the process with the same principles, responsibilities, and challenges; we continue. Thank you to the Head of State. My gratitude to Prime Minister Sama Lukonde,” she said.
According to Waz Wanyi Mwanza Jean-Jeff, Director-Head of the Communication Management Department at the EPST, being retained in this “strategic” position is a way of rewarding a job well done.
“Free education is a highly technical project where you couldn’t just send or keep just anyone. If the Head of State has retained His Excellency Minister Tony Mwaba, it means there is no one better in terms of competence… this is a strategic ministry. The duo has proven itself. That’s it,” responded Jean-Jeff Mwanza.
As a reminder, Head of State Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo reshuffled the Sama Lukonde government with the addition of Vital Kamhere, Mbusa Nyamwisi, Jean-Pierre Bemba, and François Kabulo, respectively to the ministries of economy, regional integration, defense, and sports.
