The Minister of Primary, Secondary and Technical Education (EPST), Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, and Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia Bazego, were welcomed in their office with great pomp and ceremony on Monday, January 22, 2024, by a representative group of the ministry’s senior officials and staff, led by the Secretary General of the EPST, Christine Nepa Nepa Kabala. The purpose was to express to Their Excellencies the joy of seeing them return to duty at the start of this new year and to congratulate them on their brilliant reelection to the National Assembly.
Songs of joy, shouts of delight, whistles, and dancing set the tone for the welcome extended to Minister Tony Mwaba and Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia. Banners displayed messages of congratulations addressed to these two leaders of the Ministry of EPST.
In her remarks, delivered on behalf of the ministry’s staff and management, the Secretary General first thanked the Heavenly Father for all His saving acts.
"Through me, the entire educational community of the Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education sub-sector, represented here, stands to first express its deepest gratitude to the Eternal God, the Almighty Creator of the Universe, for all the blessings He bestows upon us through His grace. It is from this God that we receive the breath of life, the strength, and the health that allow us to be present here today," declared Christine Nepa Nepa.
The Secretary General of the EPST further noted that this reception amply demonstrates that the entire sub-sector is delighted to extend a warm welcome to Minister Tony Mwaba and Deputy Minister Aminata Namasia to their workplace, following this long period of separation, caused in particular by their participation in the electoral process in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, from which they emerged as the successful and brilliant winners of the national legislative elections.
“While offering you our sincere congratulations on your brilliant re-election, we extend our best wishes in advance, looking forward, of course, to the upcoming official ceremony to exchange New Year’s greetings for 2024—a year in which we wish you great success in all your endeavors, especially those benefiting our subsector,” she said.
Finally, Christine Nepa Nepa expressed her hope that the Almighty God, the source of life and inspiration, would continue to guide and protect the minister and the deputy minister, as well as their respective families.
