The Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, has decided to temporarily set up his office at the printing facility of his ministry’s General Inspectorate, located on the grounds of the Gombe Industrial Technical Institute, in order to closely monitor preparations for the certification exams.
Upon his arrival, the head of the EPST, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, was greeted by the General Inspector of the EPST, Jacques Odia Musungayi, who gave him a tour of the various facilities, particularly those used by the General Inspectorate to print the exam items for students in their final year of primary school, basic education, and the humanities. The minister gained a clear understanding of how this key department within the ministry prepares the certification exams.
Following the tour, the minister initiated a series of working sessions in the printing office’s conference room; these meetings had been scheduled for yesterday but were rescheduled for Friday due to the urgent convening of an extraordinary Cabinet meeting on Thursday, May 25.
Professor Tony Mwaba first met with the coordinators of the state-contracted schools, then held meetings with his various guests in the workplace. He also received a delegation of EPST union representatives and the National Director of DINACOPE, accompanied by his team, to discuss the missions of his department.
As a reminder, following his official visit to London, the head of the EPST participated in last Friday’s Cabinet meeting before traveling to Mbanza-Ngungu in Kongo-Central Province, where he launched a workshop on sexual and reproductive health.
