Teachers' pensions: CNSSAP encourages unsatisfied pensioners to contact it individually (press release)

The National Social Security Fund for State Public Servants (CNSSAP) confirms that coverage for teachers in primary, secondary, and technical education (EPST) is now in effect. In a statement released on August 28, 2023, by its communications director, the CNSSAP encourages anyone to contact it directly regarding any complaints or requests for clarification. "All retired EPST teachers who have submitted an application to the CNSSAP to establish their regular pension benefits are currently receiving their retirement pensions, in addition to survivor benefits for the surviving beneficiaries of deceased retirees," states the CNSSAP. It continues, "The doors of the CNSSAP remain open to anyone with an individual complaint or seeking clarification. This is the essence of the CNSSAP’s customer relations management policy: always listening to others to better serve them." It should be noted that the "Honorable Retirement of Teachers" program is administered by the CNSSAP and not by the EPST. In fact, the Ministry of EPST merely forwards the lists of teachers eligible for retirement because they have met the requirements, and the CNSSAP makes the payments. It then returns the lists of retired teachers who have been paid to the Ministry so that the latter can remove them from the list of active employees. Moïse Dianyishayi
