State 2023: essay competition sees 9% more participants than in 2022

No more speculation. The preliminary rounds of the 2023 State Exam (Exétat) are indeed set to begin this Monday, May 8, 2023, throughout the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This preliminary phase includes the essay, the French oral exam, and the vocational skills test.

For this first phase, 1,001,728 registered students are expected, an increase of 83,108 students, representing a 9% rise compared to 2022 (918,920).

These exams will run through May 20, 2023, in accordance with the national calendar for the 2022–2023 school year.
