Aminata Namasia, Deputy Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST), visited schools in the Kinshasa-Mont-Amba educational province on Wednesday, March 29, to assess learning conditions. At the Lumumba school complex in the Limete commune, the director of this educational province, Astrid Nambuyi, briefed the EPST’s second-in-command on the operations of the complex, which houses three schools: the Lumumba Institute 1, the Lumumba Institute 2, and the Limete Institute. Regarding the issues of insufficient space raised on site by Prefect Michel Fangofango, Ms. A. Namasia promised the Ministry’s support to address them. Shortly thereafter, the Deputy Minister of EPST traveled to the commune of Kisenso, where she visited the ITI Kitomesa. There, she was welcomed by the school’s principal before touring the classrooms and offices. It has now been three weeks since Minister Tony Mwaba established the initiative known as “Itinerant Wednesday.” This initiative involves inspecting the work and operations of all school facilities and administrative offices with the aim of consolidating and ensuring the long-term sustainability of free primary education, as well as combating negative values.
