Secretary General Christine Nepa Nepa called on graduating students to reject all unethical practices during these national exams, which were launched on Monday, May 8, 2023, in Kinshasa by Aminata Namasia Bazego, Deputy Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education (EPST).
Following a tour of various testing centers for the out-of-session State Exams in the Haut-Katanga 1 educational province, Christine Nepa Nepa urged students to refrain from any actions that could jeopardize their success.
“Upon my arrival, I held meetings with educational authorities in the Haut-Katanga 1 province, who assured me that everything is well organized. From Lubumbashi, where I am currently based, I ask all Congolese seniors, girls and boys alike, to be confident in what you are doing and to avoid engaging in the negative behaviors that His Excellency the Minister of EPST, Professor Tony Mwaba Kazadi, has always fought against. Furthermore, I wish everyone good luck,” stated Ms. Christine Nepa Nepa.
Everywhere the Secretary General visited—Tuendelee High School, the Anuarite School Complex, and Hodari High School, to name just the schools selected as testing centers—she observed that local education authorities had prepared well for these exams.
Joseph Mwinkeu Tshiend, the Provincial Chief Inspector; Nicolas Nyange Bizy, the Provincial Director of Teacher Payroll Control and Preparation; and Richard Malebe accompanied the head of the EPST administration during this tour.
